Job Description

  • Plan, prepare, and cook menu items following recipes and portion standards.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, including cooks, trainees, and support staff.
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety according to local regulations.
  • Monitor inventory, order ingredients, and ensure proper storage of food supplies.
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and taste meet established standards.
  • Collaborate with management to plan menus, specials, and promotional items.
  • Manage kitchen operations efficiently, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow.
  • Control costs by monitoring waste, portioning, and inventory usage.
  • Handle customer requests and feedback professionally when needed.

Requirements

  • Culinary diploma, certificate, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a senior kitchen role (typically 3–5 years).
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Creativity and innovation in menu development.
  • Good communication skills in Myanmar and basic English.
