Job Description

Prepare high-quality dishes according to the menu, ensuring superior taste and standards.
Lead and supervise the kitchen staff and cooks, fostering strong teamwork through effective training and supervision.
Create and update menus, including seasonal and promotional offerings, to attract and retain customers.
Rigorously monitor the freshness, taste, and presentation of all food items.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety and kitchen hygiene regulations (HACCP standards preferred) and educate staff on these practices.
Manage raw materials and ingredients to minimize waste while monitoring food costs.
Supervise daily kitchen activities, including staff scheduling and maintaining kitchen equipment.
Address customer complaints and feedback to continuously improve menu and service quality.
Collaborate with management on marketing promotions and special event menus.

Requirements

A Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management.
A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
At least 3 to 5 years of experience serving at a Head Chef level.
Experience in Myanmar cuisine, Asian cuisine, or Salads (depending on the restaurant concept).
Strong team management and leadership mindset.
Proficiency in menu planning, food costing, and inventory control.
Comprehensive understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and cleaning protocols.
Excellent time management, multitasking abilities, and creative menu development skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to solve problems effectively and work efficiently under high pressure.
A genuine passion for cooking, innovation, and culinary excellence.
