Job Description

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and maintain the General Ledger.
  • Review and approve journal entries and ensure accounting records are accurate and compliant.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable, including customer collections, aging reports, and credit control.
  • Manage Accounts Payable by reviewing invoices, verifying payments, and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Monitor daily cash flow, bank reconciliations, and cash transactions.
  • Reconcile inventory records, participate in stock counts, and investigate inventory variances.
  • Prepare tax calculations and statutory filings while ensuring compliance with Myanmar tax regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and relevant government authorities.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, financial analysis, and Budget vs. Actual reports.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Strengthen internal controls, improve accounting procedures, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Identify financial risks and implement measures to prevent fraud and accounting errors.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop junior accounting staff while monitoring team performance.
  • Support internal and external audit activities and finance-related improvement projects.
  • Perform other accounting and finance responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • CPA, ACCA (Part Qualified or Qualified), LCCI Level III, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
  • At least 2 years in a Senior Accountant or supervisory role.
  • Experience in trading, distribution, FMCG, or commercial industries is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and General Ledger management.
  • Good understanding of Myanmar tax regulations, accounting standards (MAS/IFRS), and statutory compliance.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, cash flow, and inventory accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, ERP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy and integrity.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
