Job Description

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs based on architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, project budgets, and cost-control reports.
  • Monitor project expenditure and maintain accurate cost records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and review subcontract agreements, verify work progress, and certify subcontractor payment claims.
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve cost-effective project outcomes.
  • Prepare and manage client progress claims and Variation Orders (VO).
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate quantity and cost calculations.
  • Prepare monthly budget and cost-control reports for management review.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Finance, and other relevant departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience in building and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, cost estimation, contract administration, and cost control.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
  • Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project costing.
  • Intermediate level of English communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively coordinate with project teams and stakeholders.
